Classical or traditional Irish flute tuition, tailored to
your needs . . .

Teaching philosophy:

I believe that every student is an individual with unique qualities, both as a flautist and musician.

My aim is to nurture these qualities so that he or she not only reaches performance goals but also enjoys the rewards of musical expression:  self awareness, self confidence, memory, perseverance, concentration, stress relief, listening and social skills to name but a few!

My philosophy therefore, is to help each student to gain a technical mastery of the flute but, at the same time, to enjoy the holistic side of playing.

If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

What to expect from our lessons:

Lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each student. Specific areas we may focus on in classical lessons are: tone development and interpretation, use of vibrato and phrasing.

Within the folk lessons, we may focus on rhythmical and harmonic styling, ornamentation, playing by ear and gaining
a technical mastery of the flute from a classical perspective.

Having undertaken many Alexander Technique classes, I teach the basics of mindful posture and movement in all lessons.

Note:  Students will need their own flute
and will need to purchase any sheet music required.

Times:       Monday to Friday evenings.

Location:   Lessons are held in Munich, in your own home.

Students:  Age 8+, beginners to advanced. I am CRB checked.

Price:         40 euros per hour.
